Corn on the cob tastes great off the grill and is very easy to make. You can steam the corn in its own husk until tender. Then, peel away the husk and slather with all your favorite, savory additions.
Ingredients
Corn on the cob, with husks on
1 stick butter
1 container of grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper
Paprika
Garlic powder
2 Tb fresh lime juice
Cilantro, chopped
.
Directions
- Trim the ends of the corn so there won’t be silk or leaf overhang which could catch fire.
- Preheat the grill and arrange the coals in one area (or turn the burner on low in one section, and high on the other. You may also have an upper and lower deck on your grill. The upper grate is farthest away from the heat.
- You can soak the corn with husks on, if desired; however, the internet says it’s not necessary. Place trimmed corn, in-husk, on the grill in the indirect heat spot.
- Cook the corn for about 7 to 10 minutes along with other foods you plan to serve.
- Turn the corn over using skewers; then cook for 7 to 10 more minutes.
- Peel the husk down the length of your corn, and offer a stick of butter, along with various seasonings such as garlic powder, paprika, salt, Parmesan, chopped cilantro, and fresh lime juice.
You can also try another mix of fresh herbs; whatever you have from the garden such as chopped chives, dill, parley, sage, or any combo of these will make a nice addition to your hot buttered corn.
